Bio & Philosophy
I believe consistency is the key for lasting results and healthy living, and that major change can actually be fun!
I've been in the field of self-improvement since 1990, working as a teacher, coach, and trainer with all ages and levels of students.
In February, 2005, I decided it was time to get in shape for good. After successfully completing a 12 week exercise and nutrition program and transforming my own lifestyle, I went to work developing a program to help others do the same.
I started working at Sound Mind and Body Gym in the famous Fremont Neighborhood of Seattle, Washington and launched the first Total Body Turnaround program in October of 2005. The high success rate of these first 10 participants of diverse ages and backgrounds showed me that Total Body Turnaround really works!
Currently, I work as a personal trainer, strength and conditioning specialist, and basketball league and clinic coordinator at Sound Mind and Body Gym
I hold a Masters Degree in Teaching from the Evergreen State College. I'm also a graduate of NOLS, the National Outdoor Leadership School, as an outdoor educator in sea kayaking.
I’m a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association, as well as a Certified Personal Trainer through the American Council on Exercise (ACE).
